Such a Lovely Wedding for Christine and Mark at Second Empire!

Christine and Mark came to see me this past February to plan their wedding ceremony for May 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the lovely historic Second Empire restaurant where I do so many small intimate weddings. It is such a special setting for these weddings.
The pastry chef at Second Empire makes gorgeous cakes. I also got to meet the new Special Events Manager, Marilyn Akers!
Christine is wearing such a beautiful wedding dress! After Mark and I entered followed by Juliette and Christine's best friend and maid of honor, Jacklynn, Christine entered with her two sons. Then Mark met her halfway and escorted her the rest of the way down the aisle.
They smiled at each other the whole ceremony!
I don't think I have had another couple listen so intently to the words I was saying to them!
 One side of the aisle....
The other side of the aisle....
 They exchanged vows and rings.
They lit their own individual candles from a Source candle
Then they brought their flames together to light the Unity Candle. You can see it in the reflection!
Then it was my privilege and my pleasure to pronounce them husband and wife!
Mark really laid a kiss on Christine!
I think he is a little embarrassed here!
Such a happy couple. So thrilled to be married to each other. Love that!
We scooted out front of the restaurant to take some photos. Christine and Mark, I love seeing two people so in love. I know you are so happy and will have a wonderful marriage. I send love and blessings!

At Home Wedding for Robin and Terry and their Families!

The first wedding of three this first weekend in May was a small intimate wedding at the couple's home. Robin and Terry and I made all the arrangements for me to officiate their ceremony via email and US Mail. We met for the first time when I arrived at their home in Raleigh on Saturday morning, May 7, 2011.
Robin and Terry were matched up by a popular on line dating service and when they met, it was love at first sight! They discovered that they were very compatible and became inseparable quickly. They had no doubts they were meant for each other and started planning their wedding less than a year later. They were also blending their families. Robin has two sons and Terry has three sons and two daughters--all ranging in age from 11 to 26, and most of them were with us for the wedding along with Robin's parents. Robin's little grandson was with us as well.
They chose a Unity Candlelighting ceremony to symbolize their union.
And now they are married and ready to begin their new journey together! Robin and Terry, congratulations and much happiness!
